The term “Same Sex Marriage” is a contradiction in terms,  in exactly the same manner that “Round Square” is a contradiction.

Since its inception, the term “Marriage” has been defined as a committment between a man and a woman.  So it’s not just a legal matter,  it would require changing the definition of the word.

Don’t get me wrong, I believe that every person in this country has the same rights.  Here’s my solution:  Make every ceremony a civil union, whether the participants are straight or gay.   Allow religious organizations to perform marriages,  but treat them as civil unions from a legal  perspective.
