Today is the anniversary of the terrorist attack on the USA that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001.

On this day, we remember the thousands of people who were killed in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the 3 hijacked airliners 8 years ago.

We also remember the service people – police, firefighters, EMS, and the rest, who go to work every day not knowing what to expect, and with the very real possibility that they will be put in a life-threatening situation.

I salute everyone in public service. Thanks for what you do!
