Today, we have a new President of the United States. Finally, we are rid of George Bush and his habit of thumbing his nose at the American Constitution. No more wire taps, invasions of privacy, or torture. No more arresting people as “enemy combatants” and holding them indefinately without a trial. . . .

There is no justification for the carnage being inflicted on the people of Gaza. It is simply unacceptable to murder dozens of people in order to kill one Hamas leader. Innocent civilians, including many children are suffering immeasurably at the hands of the Israeli missile barrage. . . .
